Of all the news that’s told by
man
to stir the hearts thereof
is the gospel of Jesus Christ
told through the act of love

as news is passed over the lips
one feeds upon its worth
assimilating facts of truth
or lies that have been birthed
____
nevertheless a mind is stirred
opinions then are formed
news is something to be welcomed
in being well informed
____
but God has seen fit in this world
to use His children here
in spreading the gospel of Christ
in places everywhere
____
what better news could one receive
for hope after the grave
through the blood which Christ has offered
His life He freely gave
____
so open hearts by Him are saved
as God forgives their sins
a way of salvation to come
and peace which flows within
____
such news can never be compared
with worldly headline fair
but truth of God’s words return rich
which changed lives down here
